BUZmob is a mobile feed distribution service. It enables you to extend your content’s reach to mobile users regardless of what mobile device they use. All you have to do is let your end users know that your blog/site/content is now accessible via any mobile device.
How do I let my end users know that they can now access my content on their mobile devices?
Simple! Place BUZme buttons such as this one – - on your blog/website. BUZme sends text messages to your site visitors with a mobile bookmark to your content.
You may want to precede the BUZme button/link with some text, such as: “Great news! You can now access my website on your mobile phone – click here”.
Since many of your end-users use RSS readers to read your content, you should also place a post on the RSS/Atom feed itself, to let them know that they can now use their mobile phone to access your content feed. Don’t forget to refer them to the BUZme button/link.
Can I change the image of the BUZme button?
Sure. You may use any image you want to. Simply replace this piece of BUZme code: http://rss.contec.ca/mobilize_me.gif with the location of the image you want to use.
Where can I place BUZme buttons?
BUZme buttons are designed for maximum compatibility. They are nothing more than a simple HTML link. You can place them anywhere you can type HTML code.
BUZme buttons can be used across all blog platforms, all social network sites (such as MySpace and Friendster), and virtually any webpage you can edit.

What content does BUZmob mobilize?
BUZmob mobilizes any content which is RSS/Atom based. Blogs, social networks, media and news sites, corporate websites – any content expressed as a feed can be mobile enabled.
BUZmob goes further than simple mobile feed reading. It mobile-adapts any linked website on your feed – either your own or a 3rd party website. This means visitors to your mobile feed can also interact with your website – post comments, submit forms, follow links, etc.
Adapted content includes text, images, web content, forms, links and much more. All the content is adapted in real time to the end-user’s particular mobile device.
What content cannot be mobilized?
Currently the following content types cannot be mobilized, and are not delivered to end users: most forms of JavaScript, AJAX, Flash, audio files, non-image binary files.
An upcoming release of BUZmob will support video feeds and mobile video. A future release will also support podcasts.
My mobilized RSS feeds look great, but when users visit my website on their mobile it does not look that good – what can I do?
We’re glad you’ve asked. For advanced users, who can edit their website’s code, we have developed a set of special tags which can greatly improve your site’s look and feel on mobile devices.
You can read all about our mobile tags in our developers’ guide. Remember – these tags only impact users who access your website on a mobile device using BUZmob. Otherwise they are completely hidden and will not change your website’s look and feel.
I am currently displaying ads on my blog/website – what happens when users access my content via BUZmob?
BUZmob delivers all your content, including advertising, unless the content cannot be technically presented on the user’s phone. This means that most JavaScript ads (such as Adsense) will not show. However, text or image based ads will be rendered on the mobile device.
I heard about mobile RSS readers – don’t my end users have to install software on their phone?
BUZmob does not require end users to install any software on their phone. The only requirement is that end users have a mobile data plan.
How much does BUZmob cost?
Nothing – it’s free. In the future we will introduce premium paid services for content publishers. But the basic service – mobilizing any feed – will remain free.
